Accurate SNOMED CT coding

Precise clinical coding to the NovaHS coding protocol

Clinical coding underpins almost everything in a GP record — disease registers, recall, QOF, safety alerts and the information clinicians rely on at the point of care. NovaDoc provides accurate SNOMED CT clinical coding to the NovaHS coding protocol, so new clinical information is captured consistently and correctly the first time.

Consistent, high-quality coding means cleaner registers, more reliable recall and better data quality across the whole practice, giving clinicians confidence in the record in front of them.

  • Accurate SNOMED CT coding to the NovaHS coding protocol.
  • Consistent coding that keeps disease registers clean.
  • Improved data quality that clinicians can trust.

Correct human error, QOF changes and data cleansing at scale

Codes drift over time — through human error, evolving QOF requirements or the ordinary need for data cleansing. NovaDoc provides bulk code amendment and recoding to put this right at scale, correcting inaccurate codes and updating registers so your data reflects reality.

Accurate recoding protects QOF, keeps recall processes firing for the right patients and supports day-to-day patient care. It removes a painstaking task from your own team while measurably improving data quality across the record.

  • Human error — correction of inaccurate coding at scale.
  • Changing QOF requirements — bulk amendment to reflect updated QOF rules.
  • Data cleansing — that protects QOF, recall processes and everyday care.

Who it's for: GP practices, PCNs, Federations and ICBs across England that need accurate SNOMED clinical coding, or bulk recoding and data cleansing to protect QOF and data quality.

Questions

Clinical coding & recoding FAQs

What is the difference between clinical coding and recoding?
Clinical coding is applying accurate SNOMED CT codes to new clinical information as it arrives. Recoding, or bulk code amendment, is correcting or updating codes already in the record — for example fixing human error, reflecting changing QOF requirements or cleansing data — so that historic and current coding both stay accurate.
Why does clinical coding matter for QOF?
QOF, recall and much of day-to-day patient care depend on accurate coding. If codes are missing, wrong or out of date, patients can be excluded from registers, recalls can misfire and QOF achievement can suffer. NovaDoc's accurate coding and bulk recoding protect QOF and keep your registers reliable.
Can NovaDoc correct large volumes of existing codes?
Yes. NovaDoc provides bulk code amendment and recoding at scale, correcting human-error coding, applying changes required by updated QOF rules and carrying out data cleansing — improving data quality across the whole record without pulling your own staff away from patient care.
