End-to-end medicines management support
The challenge
The practice needed support across several areas of medicines management. Prescription requests, medicines-related queries and workflow activities, including medicines reconciliation, were competing for the team's time and limiting its capacity for wider clinical priorities.
Our solution
We introduced a support package tailored to the practice's requirements, combining our workflow service, including medicines reconciliation, with dedicated remote Independent Prescribing (IP) Pharmacist support for prescription requests and medication queries. Our clinicians worked alongside the existing team to provide day-to-day support.
The outcome
The combined service streamlined medicines management and reduced operational pressures. Taking responsibility for both workflow and prescribing activities created capacity for GPs to concentrate on complex clinical work and patient care while maintaining an efficient prescribing service.
